Lagos State Tourism Summit held April 16,2018.

The Lagos State Tourism Summit 2018 held at Eko Hotel and Suites on Monday 16th of April 2018 was attended by an array of personalities from all works of life. It has never happened to this industry, never has there been a gathering of this magnitude for tourism – Nigeria ‘s new oil.
 
 Is Nigeria finally awaken to tourism?  The answer is yes as the Executive Director National Films and Video Censors Board(NFVCB), Alh. Adedayo Thomas, veterans of Comedy , Music, Movies, Art, traditional rulers, international audience and many more were all present. The Governor of Lagos state, Akinwunmi Ambode told attendees that Lagos is on a journey to greatness and he wants to be counted as part of the contributors to that greatness.
Themed Destination Lagos: Towards A Sustainable Tourism-Driven Economy, the summit’s special guest of honour was Erstwhile President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E John Dramani Mahama who gave valid insights on how we can further benefit from tourism potentials and attendees could not help but agree more.
Honourable minister for information, culture and tourism Alhaji Lai Mohammed,  presented a documentary titled Tourism Nigeria’s new oil and commended Governor Ambode for his valid efforts to tourism and prayed to Nigeria for consistency in this pursuit.
